Yes! Finally, Friday funday.  I am looking forward to a very lazy weekend.

Do you have any plans for the weekend? I’m still waffling, which reminds me of the time I ran into an old classmate the summer after senior year and he asked me where I was going to college, to which I said truthfully, “I’m still waffling.” I like to wait for the last second to commit, which is why I’m always spastically running out the door, forgetting to grab coffee or my purse. My decisions are usually based on emotions and very spontaneous.

Anyway, I went to a community college because I waited way too long to do anything else. And this weekend, I full on expect to do whatever doesn’t require a prior commitment. A nap perhaps. A pilgrimage to get some ice cream. That kind of thing.

In case you missed it, here’s what I posted about this week -

Come one, come all - sharing my current podcast recommendations and salaciously (just kidding) soliciting yours. What are you listening to right now?
- Follow-up: lots of great conversation and recs on my Facebook post.

Can’t pour from an empty cup. I’m talking about depleters and how to write your escape plan.

Last weeks’ links: RIP the Sunday post. Maybe. I’m tinkering with when I post weekly links, so welcome to that party.

2 || WHATS FOR DINNER THIS WEEK

Full disclosure, I’m giving a little fruits and veggies detox thing a go. Just a few days, but I always feel so much better when I do. I’m also dragging Duke and Ryan down with me, at least for dinner. If you’re interested in some friendly gambling, let’s bet on how many days they make it before Ryan starts ordering pizza for dinner. He ain’t into salads.

My weekly gift to you: interesting things on the internet because how many times can you honestly scroll Instagram?

Red Alert Harry Potter fans: there is a suggestion that JK Rowling is actually Rita Skeeter, expelled from the magical world and I 👏 am 👏 here for it.

I read this book last summer and highly recommend it. And as a little snack to go along with that entree, here’s a really great interview with the author.

Here’s a fun game: first one to casually use these sign-offs wins.

The only people we should be taking parenting advice from: Parents.

I love this mamacita hat. Last year I bought three hats, which is a 300% increase over every single year prior. I think I'm set, but I mean, I still want it.

4 || SOMETHING FUN

What weird holiday falls on your birthday? Mine is National Water Gun Fight Day. Kind of cool. Although if it were up to me, it would be National Bring Your Dog to Work day, or something.

5 || SHOPPING

Ban.do finds for people who wear their feelings. Like me. I do. Usually on my face though. I used to have a manager who was a scooch intimidating and I'd always wear a turtleneck for my annual review, because my neck gets all red and splotchy when I'm nervous. Coolcoolcool.

6 || WHAT I'M READING

Literally just finished up Girl, Stop Apologizing last night. Eh. I'll be back next week to talk about everything I read in January, and I'm looking forward to discussing this one.

I picked up Waiting: The True Confessions of a Waitress this morning. I read it forever ago when I was a server, but it's been so long that I can't remember any of the details. But I do remember it was funny, so let's do it.

8 || PLANS

Ryan's filling my house this weekend with a bunch of ice fishers and basically I'm trying to see myself out of here. A bunch of dudes that reek like fish and whiskey? Yeah, I'll pass.

So the library, maybe grocery shopping, and visiting Lake Michigan are on my agenda. And definitely consuming some books. I'm considering making 52 books a goal this year, but you know, waffling on that commitment.

Happy Friday guys! May the weekend last forever!
